Inspection

The initial service call includes a thorough inspection of your home or business. Our integrated pest management system includes the use of our Animal Entry Worksheet (AEW) to identify the problem areas. The AEW provides the customer information as well as estimates for exclusion, damage caused by wildlife, clean up of animal droppings & disinfecting of affected areas. The wildlife technician will also locate all of the active animal entry points in order to place the traps where they will be most effective.

Trapping

Once the target animal has been determined and the entry point(s) located traps will be set. Traps are monitored on the interior and/or exterior for a period of 2 to 3 weeks, depending, on the target animal. We use live traps for most animals, although professional grade snap traps are used for rats & mice. We do not use rodenticides or poisons. Animals that have been caught in our live traps will be relocated. We must abide by the regulations of the Georgia Department of Natural resources regarding trapping, relocation and euthanization. Any wild animal that has come in contact or bitten a homeowner or unvaccinated pet should be reported. Once the animal has been trapped, we can take it to animal control for rabies testing (raccoons and bats are more likely to be carriers). We will monitor the entry points and make sure all target animals have been removed. In some cases exclusion may be necessary to completely rid a residence of rodents due to multiple entry points and/or dilapidated construction. Customers can review their AEW (Animal Entry Worksheet) and determine what repairs and/or clean up they would like to have done by our technicians once the traps are removed. All of our repair work is guaranteed against future animal entry.

Repairs, Exclusion & Clean Up

On the initial service call and inspection the customer will be given an Animal Entry Worksheet listing any entry points, repairs and clean up. Once the customer decides what work they would like to have done and the worksheet is signed our office will schedule the repair work for you. All of our repair work is guaranteed up to three years. We also install chimney caps, Roof Vent Guards (RVG's), Heartland Dryer Vents, Leafproof Gutter Protection System (go to link), in order to prevent future animal entry. These products are guaranteed and also come with a warranty.

We regularly clean up animal droppings out of attics and crawlspaces as well as follow up with a disinfectant treatment. Some heavily soiled attic areas require complete removal and re-installation of insulation to be completely sanitized. In crawlspace areas we can do a complete clean up as well as installation of a new vapor barrier when necessary.
